NorthWood High School Athletics has announced that Jordan Anglemyer has resigned from his position as head coach of the Panthers Girls Golf program after three seasons leading the team. Anglemyer, who took over the program in the fall of 2024, has served as head coach while also teaching science at NorthWood High School. During his tenure, Anglemyer dedicated himself to developing student-athletes both on and off the golf course, emphasizing individual growth, skill development, and a positive team experience. In his resignation letter, Anglemyer expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to lead the program while explaining that increasing family commitments influenced his decision. With his children becoming more involved in extracurricular activities, Anglemyer recognized the challenges of balancing the demands of coaching with his responsibilities at home. His decision to step away at this time was not an easy one. "I really enjoy helping the girls," Anglemyer shared in his resignation letter. "but in fairness to them, I know I would not be as available in the coming years." Coach Anglemyer did say that he would love to remain on staff in a volunteer capacity as time allowed. NorthWood Director of Athletics AJ Risedorph expressed his appreciation for Anglemyer's commitment to the program. "Jordan has been a tremendous addition to our athletic department and the girls golf program over the past three seasons. Coaching requires a significant commitment of time and energy, and Jordan has consistently demonstrated his willingness to invest in our student-athletes. We certainly understand and respect his decision to prioritize his family. What I appreciate most is his thoughtfulness in making this decision now, giving our department the opportunity to prepare for the future of the program. We are grateful for his leadership, his service to NorthWood Athletics, and the relationships he has built with our student-athletes." There is no question the girls have appreciated Coach Anglemyer’s time with them as many have echoed appreciation for showing genuine concern for the girls outside of golf and his ability to foster positivity in a very mentally demanding sport. NorthWood Athletics will begin the process of identifying the next leader of the Girls Golf program. NorthWood Athletics thanks Coach Anglemyer for his three seasons of leadership and his continued commitment to the Panthers.
