The NorthWood Varsity Volleyball team picked up a strong 3-1 victory over Fairfield on Tuesday night, winning by scores of 25-22, 25-21, 18-25, and 25-22. The Panthers came out strong, taking the opening two sets before Fairfield answered with a third-set win. NorthWood responded in the fourth set, closing out the match 25-22 to secure the victory. Ella Branham led the Panthers offensively with 14 kills, while Grace Thompson added six kills. Emily DeFreitas contributed two aces. Defensively, Nola Nephew paced NorthWood with 22 digs, followed by Kenzie Miller with 12. At the net, Krystal Hershberger recorded four blocks, while Addie Davis and Grace Thompson each added three blocks. Allie Yoder directed the offense with 21 assists, with Abby Schmucker adding 14 assists. NorthWood will look to build on the momentum from the win as the Panthers continue their season.
