Thank You, Vando 💪❤️🖤 Today marks the final training session for Servando “Vando” Duran as NorthWood’s Director of Athletic Performance. Four years ago, Vando arrived with a vision that went far beyond sets, reps, and weight room numbers. He believed in developing the whole athlete… physically, mentally, emotionally, and relationally. Since the summer of 2022, he has helped shape the culture of NorthWood Athletics by investing in our student-athletes every single day. His impact can be seen in stronger, faster, and more resilient athletes, but his greatest contribution has been the relationships he built. Vando challenged our students to pursue excellence, embrace discipline, and become better versions of themselves. Beyond the weight room, he faithfully served as a coach for Unified Flag Football and Unified Track & Field, creating opportunities for all students to grow, compete, and belong. His commitment to inclusion and servant leadership exemplified what it means to be part of the NorthWood family. While we are saddened to see Vando, Morgan, Elaina, and Duke begin a new chapter in Iowa, we are incredibly grateful for the legacy they leave behind. Their impact on our school, our programs, and our community will be felt for years to come. Thank you, Vando, for your passion, leadership, friendship, and unwavering dedication to NorthWood student-athletes. Once a Panther, Always a Panther.
